André is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at Michigan State University, where he is applying machine learning to molecular simulations in the Dickson Lab and plant genetics in collaboration with the Grotewold Lab. His work integrates artificial intelligence with Biochemistry and Molecular Biology research, aiming to uncover new insights and methodologies.

• With a robust background in Artificial Intelligence and Computer Vision, André has made significant contributions to numerous research projects and has developed innovative methods in academia. He is multilingual, with fluency in Portuguese (native speaker), English, Spanish, and a working knowledge of French.

• Before joining MSU, André was a Professor at the Catholic University of Salvador in Brazil. He taught a wide range of courses, including artificial intelligence, advanced programming topics, and experimental software engineering, among others. His research interests are diverse, spanning artificial intelligence, molecular simulations, plant genetics, computer vision, image processing, and image recognition.

• Throughout his postdoctoral and doctoral research, André has published several papers. Notably, he has worked on synthetic latent fingerprint generation and the development of a universal latent fingerprint enhancer using transformer technology, in collaboration with the esteemed professor, Dr. Anil K. Jain at Pattern Recognition and Image Processing Lab (PRIP-LAB). His work has consistently pushed the boundaries of what is possible at the intersection of computer science and biology.
